A righthander reef/point set up that offers long rides for those that make it and a good flogging for those that don't. Can get crowded though we experienced no localism. There's a reform wave in the bay which can be surfed as well. It's a hard wave to paddle into unless you are right in the take off zone. Urchins around too so take your booties.

This is a serious wave that need serious thought before jumping in the water but if you take the time to study it, intermediaes to experts will enjoy. The volcanic reef itself can hold enormous swells and has been ridden well and truly upto 25ft. It is sometimes broken up into 2 or 3 sections depending on swell and provides very powerful rides. This spot is not known for its tubes, it does have some but its not guaranteed. Actually accessing teh surf can be a test in itself, so be warned! Remember that many of the worlds Pro's come to this spot alone and you will always find camper vans parked up alongside the break watching and waiting.

Long, fast, powerful consistant. It's no wonder its popular. Catch it double-overhead and it can be fun.
